Our primary mission is to support disadvantaged and underserved populations. Currently implementing transformative programs in Nigeria, we are expanding into multiple countries across Sub-Saharan Africa. SCIDaR is partnering with WHO’s AFRO region to drive innovations that enhance the quality of polio outbreak response efforts in key countries.
Role Overview and Objectives
The Bilingual Associate will offer technical and operational support for SCIDaR programs, overseeing daily program workflows and providing guidance to Program Analysts on assigned tasks. This role entails accountability for all program workstream deliverables. Based in Abuja, Nigeria, the Bilingual Associate will contribute to the OBR Africa project, targeting the Sahel and Lake Chad Basin regions.
Technical Responsibilities – Program Support
Program Implementation
- Support the daily execution of program activities.
- Lead a program workstream and report challenges to the Program
- Engagement Manager.
- Gather and analyze information, formulate recommendations, and communicate them effectively.
- Ensure coordination with partners for smooth implementation and outcome achievement.
- Lead routine problem-solving sessions with clients and stakeholders, addressing challenges and guiding strategic decisions.
Program Monitoring and Reporting
- Regularly monitor activities for quality, accountability, and compliance with deliverables and performance indicators.
- Contribute to monthly and quarterly technical reports.
- Participate in mid-term and end-term program evaluations.
- Oversee documentation cleanup and archiving.

Education and Experience
- Relevant graduate-level degree (International Development, Applied Sciences, Public Health, etc.).
- 3-5 years of experience in development program implementation, with a preference for experience in strategy, health systems strengthening, or consulting.
- Language Requirement
- Candidates must be bilingual, fluent in both English and French.
